Privacy & cookie policy
Version 2026-08-20
What we collect
When you sign in with Google or GitHub we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider. If you set an area we store the postcode you enter and its approximate centroid — never a precise location. We store the collection data you create (binders, decks, wants) and your consent choices.
Why we collect it
To run your account, save your collection across devices, and — only if you set an area — show local trade matches. We collect only what these features need (APP 3).
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We also use analytics and advertising cookies, which load only if you allow them. You control these from Privacy & consent (or the banner on first visit), and your choice is recorded with a date and policy version.
Analytics & advertising
With your consent we use third-party analytics to understand how the app is used (which features, aggregate usage) so we can improve it, and advertising to show and measure ads, which may include a third-party ad or measurement provider setting cookies and receiving usage data. These run only while the matching consent is on; decline or withdraw at any time and they stop. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the collection or trade data you create to target ads.
Marketing
We only send marketing email if you opt in, and you can withdraw at any time — consistent with the Spam Act 2003. We keep an auditable record of that consent.
Disclosure & overseas
We don’t sell your personal information. Sign-in is handled by your chosen provider (Google/GitHub), and — with your consent — our analytics and advertising providers may process data outside Australia under their own terms (APP 8). Vendor and marketplace links are outbound only — we never send them your personal information.
Access, correction & erasure
You can view and correct your details, download all your data, and delete your account from Sign-in & data (APP 12 & 13). Deletion is permanent.
Security & contact
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. This is a mock-up project; for a real deployment, a contact address for privacy enquiries and complaints (and the path to the OAIC) goes here.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we bump its version and ask you to review your consent again.
